Relevant Experience : 4 -8 years
Educational / Professional Qualification (Preferable): BE / BTech/ MCA/ Diploma/BSc.
Excellent Communication skills are mandatory.
Willingness to work in shifts including Night Shifts.

- In-depth knowledge of Netbackup 5.x and 6.x concepts.
- Understanding the daemon flow.
- The challenges of Enterprise net backup environment.
- Installation and configuration of Master/Media and clients.
- Installation and configuration of Database agents.
- Customization of RMAN scripts ( Preferred)
- Working with Netbackup GUI
- The Command Line interface.
- Netbackup Operations Manager and the reporting tools.
- Configuration of Volume Pools, Storage Units, Policies, Tape drives and Robot.
- Media management.
- Performing catalog backups and restores.
- Troubleshooting the backup issues by analyzing the net backup logs.
- Perquisites of upgradation from NBU 5.x to NBU 6.x
- Knowledge of the different types of libraries and the tape drives with the density.
- Fair knowledge of scripting ( Shell or PERL)
